Algarve Evolution

The IN:FORMAT project aims to promote digital and information literacy skills among students from the 4th to the 10th grade, across the Algarve region, until 2027.

Built on an innovative gamification-based approach, the project introduces computer science concepts in a practical and engaging way within the classroom. Students work with Micro:bit devices, provided free of charge to participating schools, while teachers are empowered to later replicate the methodology.

With interest already expressed by around 4,000 students in the region, there is now a growing need to strengthen the pool of trainers. Algarve Evolution is supporting the promotion of this opportunity, seeking professionals available to deliver digital literacy sessions in Portimão, Quarteira, Faro, and Olhão.

Ideal profile:

  • Background in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with Micro:bit
  • Experience working with students (preferred but not required)
  • English communication skills (preferred)

Conditions:

  • 3 or 6 sessions per class (50 or 90 minutes each)
  • Service-based contract (freelance)
  • Monthly payment based on hours delivered
  • Travel support based on distance

Applications

Applications should be submitted via email to recrutamento@fjuventude.pt, with the subject “IT TECHNICIAN - ALGARVE”, including an updated CV and the necessary supporting documentation.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact educational project and help shape the digital skills of the next generation in the Algarve.
