The Algarve Tourism Board will distinguish the best cultural and creative tourism experiences in the region through the Make in Algarve Award, an initiative aimed at encouraging tourism stakeholders to implement innovative and sustainable tourism experiences that connect visitors with the Algarve’s natural and cultural heritage.
The Make in Algarve Award – Best Cultural and Creative Tourism Experiences is part of the Algarve Cultural and Creative Tourism Experiences Development Program, promoted by RTA and Tertúlia Algarvia, within the scope of the INOVA ALGARVE 3.0 Project – Promotion of Qualification and Innovation in the Algarve Region.
Tourism operators who join the program and integrate its activities will be eligible to apply for the award.
The application phase is now open and runs until April 12, 2026, across the following four categories:
- Best Cultural Tourism Experience
- Best Creative Tourism Experience
- Best Local Impact Experience – Barlavento
- Best Local Impact Experience – Sotavento
