📢 Postdoctoral Fellowship | DTCoastGRID | University of Algarve
Applications are now open for a postdoctoral fellowship within the project DTCoastGRID – Management of Microgrids: Digital Twins to support the challenges faced by Coastal Communities, hosted at CIMA Ualg – Centro de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental da Universidade do Algarve / ARNET – Aquatic Research Network.
🔍 This 18-month project focuses on the development of a Digital Twin for microgrid management in coastal communities, using Culatra Island as a real-world living lab.
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to:
• data collection, integration and structuring from sensors and energy systems
• development of advanced optimization models (forecasting, load scheduling, demand response)
• design and implementation of a digital platform for visualization, decision support and user engagement
🎓 Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (strong computational background) or related fields.
